Bridezilla［酷斯拉新娘］ 
 

A bridezilla is a difficult [很難搞的], unpleasant [討厭的], perfectionist [完美主義的] bride.

The closer the big day approaches, the more wound-up everyone involved gets. [隨著大日子越來越近，參與婚禮的人就越不安]. In English, an obnoxious [可憎的，隨時想抓狂的] bride-to-be [準新娘] is called a 'bridezilla'. 

* xx to be 是很常見的慣用法:

  mother to be  [準媽媽,快當媽媽的人], president to be  [準總統,快當總統的人]

* The word was based on [來自] 'Godzilla' [酷斯拉], the name of a fearsome dinosaur-like monster [長得像恐龍的恐怖怪獸] originally created for a Japanese film in 1954 [源來自日本的一部電影]. 

例句：

Julie has bridezilla tendencies. I definitely don’t want to be her bridesmaid.　Julie那個人有成為恐怖新娘的傾向。我才不要當她的伴娘。
